This week I was going to write a recipe for a quick mid week pasta dish, but last Friday I came across an article about the wellness and clean eating trends by Ruby Tandoh that made me stop and think. Ruby was one of the contestants in The Great British Bake Off in recent years and since then has been writing about food for The Guardian.
Her piece is here and I would recommend you read it because if you are a foodie or care about your health you will find it interesting and thought provoking.

There are always times in life when it feels like everything is working against you and everything is going wrong, or you feel stuck in a situation you don’t want to be in. It can be work related, or a relationship or a friendship. Sometimes things that are completely outside of our control happen. We lose people we love, we go through break ups, illness, we have a hard time with a friend... I know I have gone through all of the above and it sucks at the time.

I often start these sort of posts by saying what a great month it has been, but April has been rubbish. It has been stressful and sad and whenever I get stressed I stop doing all the things that make me feel good. Thankfully I realise I am doing that at some point and have started trying to get back to a better place, so next month you can expect lots of yoga, inspiring podcast episodes and sunny trips with friends. With that said, there have still been pockets of goodness in April, so let's get into it!
